2nd Chance is a specialist ‘education to employment’ training course created to support young adults on their journey towards sustained employment. During our six month course we work with each individual on our programme to develop the attitudes, behaviours, knowledge and skills needed to be successful as they take their first steps on the career ladder.
Young adults work with us for four months as Trainees focusing on English, maths and ICT Functional Skills training, undertaking a range of challenging business-led projects and collaborating with their personal Career Coach to ensure that they are fully prepared for the world of work.
After month four Trainees graduate to become an Associate of 2nd Chance. At this point we offer a variety of opportunities to meet and work with a range of employers including a structured work placement opportunity for every individual. Associates are supported by our Employment Team to
capitalize on the work placement opportunities, complete their CVs, prepare for interview and search for the right job. By the end of the course our Associates are prepared for successful careers with the qualifications, skills and experience they need to excel and sustain employment.
